Question: How long can books be borrowed?

NYU New York:
Depending on your status (undergraduate student, graduate student, faculty, etc) books from the General Collection can be borrowed for 60-120 days.  For information on borrowing limits of items not in the general collection, take a look at our Loan Periods chart.
 
Please note that if your book is recalled by another user, you will be notified via email that you may keep your item for only two more weeks.
 
NYU Abu Dhabi:
Books are loaned until the end of the semester. Videos are loaned for one week and are eligible for renewal once.  All library materials are subject to recall. If your books are recalled by another library user, you will be notified via email that you may keep your items for one more week. Note that items borrowed from Bobst Library in New York are governed by Bobst Library policies.

NYU Shanghai:
Books can be borrowed until the end of the semester if they are not part of course reserves, on hold for someone else, or part of our leisure collection.  Items from our Reserve collection may only be checked out for 4 hours.  Items from our leisure collection may be checked out for 28 days. Please see our detailed loan policy . Note that items borrowed from Bobst Library in New York are governed by Bobst Library policies.
